Project Homebound 2026: Feeding Our Community, One Box at a Time
For 42 years, Project Homebound has brought our community together to help ensure that local individuals and families can enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. This annual food drive serves the greater Lancaster area and relies on the generosity of local businesses, organizations, schools, and community members.
Last year, thanks to tremendous community support, Project Homebound distributed 254 Thanksgiving food boxes, helping feed 846 individuals. Local schools alone contributed nearly 2,000 food items, while businesses and organizations throughout the region provided food and financial donations.
The Northern Gateway Regional Chamber of Commerce encourages our members and community to support this meaningful local tradition.
How Can You Help?
Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate by organizing workplace food drives, collecting financial contributions, or even challenging another business to match donations. Individuals and families can also contribute by donating nonperishable food items, gift cards, or funds.
